Has anyone used the smart scoop self cleaning litter box?

I am considering buying one for my cats. I have three, two are almost a year old and one is 13 years old.

How much litter does the box actually use and does it really save on buying tons of litter?
How long is the plug in cord? Could I connect it to an extension cord?
Is the product made well or will it crap out on me after a little while?

Any other tips/opinions would be great thanks!

I had one for a while and it was actually really annoying. It would go off in the middle of the night. Also, a lot of the time my cats’ feces would get stuck to the rake the box uses to clean. Then I would have to clean it in order for it to work properly. I don’t remember the cord being too long but I think it can be attached to an extension cord.
If you get the scoopable, clumping kind of litter, in any kind of litter box that will save you money on litter if you clean the box regularly.
